2. Fall Break will be from 9/29-10/13 and we will not have any classes during that time. You may attend other classes during the weeks before the break to make up for classes you will miss. Regular classes will resume 10/14.***
3. There will be no classes on 12/12. Plan on attending a make-up class that week. Winter Break will be from 12/22-1/3. Regular classes will resume 1/4.***

**Our rule is that if you plan on performing at the Aloha Festival, you are only allowed to miss (be absent) up to one class per month. Consistent attendance is crucial to you being able to properly learn what is needed in order to perform. Roll-taking will begin in January and will be strictly enforced. If you miss too many classes between August and January, you will be required to schedule a private lesson to catch up to the group. You will need to know the songs well enough to be able to solo them in order to perform. No exceptions!**

If you miss the August deadline to sign up to perform at the 2020 Aloha Festival, you’ll still have the opportunity to learn how to dance. We will have new class options available on Mondays *or* Tuesdays at that time. There, you’ll learn the basics and how to dance our “style”. Although you won’t be able to perform at the 2020 Aloha Festival, we will prepare you to perform at the next one. You’ll still have the opportunity to perform at other events with us such as the 2020 Maricopa County Fair, 2020 Gilbert Global Village Festival and more.

Fridays are reserved for ‘Ohana and Sundays are reserved for Ke Akua. Mahalo!

Recording video/audio and taking photos during classes is not allowed. We say this twice because someone always misses it!

*Please bring a bottle of water, a pen/pencil and a binder/folder to store the handouts that will be given to you. If you have a pā’ū practice skirt for hula and a pareo for tahitian, please bring that as well. . There will be no viewing of classes that are not your own.

We have a private Facebook page for current-students-only, called "Nā Haumāna of Halau Ho'okahi I Ka Hula" where we connect and talk about all things Polynesian dance, music and language related. Please request to join so we can add you once you become a student with us! It is THE BEST form of communication between the instructor and the dancers, so please make sure you stay connected.

PRIVATE Ukulele Lessons:
You may contact Rudy Dolfo directly at 808-255-5767 to schedule.

Please go to www.azluau.com if you would like more information on booking a live hula show in Arizona.
